Social media isn’t rocket science. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if you have an active account for as least 3-4 different platforms and already use them daily.
Yet despite already using them, you may not be having the success you would like, or think you deserve from your efforts and time put into it.
After years of experimenting with it, I commonly see the same rookie mistakes from personal trainers and coaches, which is really holding them back. The good news is, once you learn what these are, you can get to work and fix them quickly. For many people, this is likely the best place to start in order to see better success.
So let’s dive into what these are exactly!
Social media is taking over our lives. Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with it.
We know it's a great tool to improve our fitness businesses. It provides us with a platform to network with like minded people in our industry, grow an audience and even advertise. That's some powerful stuff.
So in this week's episode I share with you my opinions and experiences on the most popular social media channels to help you get the best return from using them.
This is Part 1 from a 3 part series. Stay tuned for more.

If you’ve even been to the Netherlands, then you know they love cheese. It’s everywhere, wheels of the stuff on every corner of every street. The problem is, everyone is selling it, and it’s an overcrowded market place.
So last weekend I visited a small town’s cheese museum who had decided to stand out from the crowd. They know everyone can sell cheese to tourists, but they decided to take it to the next level. They’ve created an incredible sales funnel that has tourists ripping their cheese of the shelves to buy it. The process is very simple, but you would never notice it if you weren’t looking. Let me show you how it worked…

Okay, here's some good news....
Creating your online coaching business and successfully getting clients has never been faster or easier. And we can skip all the guru crap and nonsense and get to the facts. So here’s 5 key questions to ask before getting started online.

What accountability do you have to ensure that you too are consistently learning more as well as growing your business?
Just like I had a few years ago, it’s likely to be very little or none.
That’s because most of us are diehard ‘do-it yourself’ types, so never give a second thought to doing things any other way. Yet despite this, you may not feel really in control and are consistently spinning your wheels to achieve your goals.
But if you can understand now how amazing a little accountability can build your own motivation, the differences could be incredible. The secret is that for some of us, accountability is not something we can tackle alone. If you’re struggling with accountability yourself, recruit some help.
But who do you ask? How do you find the right person or community for the job?
In this week's show, I'll show you how to do exactly that.
Social media is killing your coaching business. Over the last couple of years I’ve had the opportunity to work with hundreds of trainers and coaches. We’ve focused on improving their knowledge and boosting their fitness business. Time and time again there’s one common problem that is holding everyone back. They are afraid of publishing their content because they are worried about what their peers might think. That’s because most of them have immersed themselves in the industry via their social media platforms. They’ve discovered that on every FitPro forum, Facebook group or posted thread there are other FitPro’s ready for a debate. The result is that many trainers never feel comfortable publishing their own content, and this is likely to be the biggest roadblock to expanding their business.
In this weeks show I give you a fool proof system to ignoring what’s going on in social media and how to truly help your clients get better results.
I love personal training and everything that it stands for.
Have a quick look around any commercial gym and it’s clear that there’s a huge market for people needing help.
Those who say personal training is ‘dying’ are wrong, as it remains the most effective method of helping people through exercise and nutrition.
The problem I can see is in the actual business model that most 1-1 trainers use. It’s cash for time. Exchanging cash for time is self sabotage.
There are only so many hours in a day, and once you fill them up, your daily earnings are quickly capped.
Sure, you can keep pushing your prices up, but people will only pay so much. You could also add more working hours to your day, but life will suck pretty soon.
To ensure that this doesn’t happen, I highly recommend creating a simple yet very effective new income stream.
To do this, you will need to harness the power of the online world.
The problem is that many trainers don’t know the best place to start online, never mind what products or services to offer and sell.
In this show you will find 5 ways that will help you make money online quicker than you think.
It’s what most trainers want these days, a successful online ‘biz nis’. And who’s to blame you, as I also quickly realised that 1-1 in person coaching was not the right thing for me in the long term.
I wanted more. I wanted to really enjoy working with my clients. I didn’t want to worry about if they would actually turn up to their session nor did I want to carry them through it on the days they couldn’t be bothered. But I still wanted to help people change their bodies and improve their health. An online fitness business allows me to do exactly that.
And when you get it just right, you discover that you can earn a better income, have more free time AND achieve better results for people. Over the last number of years I have been relentless in working at, and growing, my online fitness business.
Here are my top tips to help you do the same.
If you're anything like me then your coaching is all about helping your clients work smarter, not harder.
But when it comes to managing your own business and lifestyle, you are consistently working harder, not smarter.
That’s because most trainers are replaceable, or interchangeable, as far as their clients are concerned. That’s because trainers generally all have the one solution to fixing the problem. In other words, they do the job the client needs, but they can easily be replaced by another one [who is maybe cheaper, or better looking!].
You know this too, which is why you end up working harder, just to make ends meet.
I’m going to show you how to become indispensible - meaning they cannot operate without YOU around - to your clients, and it all starts by working smarter not harder.
Many trainers and coaches went into the fitness industry because of their own passion for health and fitness. Despite most coaches having huge amounts of knowledge and interest in what they do, this doesn’t mean that they can create the business that they truly want. That’s because most coaches do not know how to ‘create a customer’. By understanding the power of a ‘sales funnel’ you will be able to create customers from people who never even knew you existed, and those sitting on the fence. This episode will show you the important process known as a ‘sales funnel’ which should be used to create awareness of what you do, improve engagement and to become fully booked.
Ready to build a raving tribe of loyal fans and clients who like your work, share it and buy everything that you create? Then tune into this week's episode to find out the step-by-step process to making that happen.
Your written word is that connection to your client and it defines the message you are presenting. For the ongoing development and particularly the success of your business, you must take responsibility for the content at all times. This podcast episode will show you how.
This episode of the Masterclass will examine the key components to building your online platform. Even if your business is primarily offline e.g. running your own gym, it should still have a good website. No matter what your business is, a well constructed website will build more ‘like, know and trust’ with your prospective clients, and therefore make your business more successful. On its most basic level it should therefore impress your potential clients/customers, tell them more about you, your services and how to get in contact. Every business will benefit from having this information on the World Wide Web.
